To provide a care at home service to vulnerable people in the community overnight, to provide a comprehensive care at home service. 

To assist the Mobile Emergency Care Service.

The Nightlink service is provided 10 pm - 6.30 am

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.



Requirements

SVQ 2 in  Health and Social Care or willing to work towards.

Previous Care / Care at Home Experience/Awareness of National Care Standards

Driving Licence

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland. 

This post is subject to a disclosure check which will be undertaken by Disclosure Scotland. 



Responsibilities

Nightlink carers provide a Care at Home Service overnight for vulnerable service users.

Nightlink Carers assist in Care at Home situations when a person requires assistance.

Nightlink carer can be lone workers driving Council vehicles. 



The Individual

Nightlink Carers should have a positive, caring attitude, have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a Team.

Be able to undertake physical tasks.
