Carry out duties under direct supervision within the kitchen, involving the preparation, simple cooking and the serving of food.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.
Duties will include basic food/ beverage preparation (eg. preparation of vegetables/snacks); simple cooking (eg. reconstitution/heating of prepared food); serving of meals; general kitchen, dining room duties (eg. washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment/tables), cleaning of the kitchen, its surround and equipment
You must have the ability to relate to children, young people and adults and the ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
These duties may be carried out in any local authority establishment throughout Fife as required.
The duties of this post may include cash handling.
You may be asked on a daily basis to move from one establishment to another to provide cover. When not providing cover you will remain in the establishment specified as your base. Some degree of flexibility in working arrangements may be required.
