Based at the Russell Institute in Paisley, Invest in Renfrewshire Employability Service is looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience of engaging individuals and delivering pre-employability activity in a Community Education or Development setting. Working as part of an existing multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for developing and facilitating a range of pre-employability activities to build confidence and motivation and engage clients of the Working Matters Programme in the early stages of their attachment. The Glasgow and Clyde Valley City Deal Working Matters Programme works with individuals with significant health barriers to employment. Activity may include healthy lifestyle and social interaction. You will have experience of working with unemployed or disadvantaged groups and individuals and of delivering activity in a Community Education or Development setting. You will have an understanding of the principles of community engagement and learning; have an engaging personality; an effective communicator; be capable of managing a diverse workload and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. An SVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline; Community Development, Economic Development, or Social Work is essential or considerable relevant experience at an appropriate level. An understanding of Welfare Benefits and conditionality requirements as well as Experience of delivering employability related activity is desirable. Post is part funded through the 2014 - 2020 Lowland and Uplands European Structural and Investment Funds and is temporary to 30 September 2018 If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
