Job Description
Based in Janet Brougham House, Banchory Road, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. Previous applicants need not re-apply.

You will have Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, SVQ Level 4 in Care, or equivalent, and the Registered Manager Award, or the ability to undertake.

You will provide professional leadership as first line manager with day to day operational management responsibility for a team or teams of staff delivering front line social work services, whilst ensuring high standards of practice parameters and service provision are maintained.

The Individual
You will have experience of working with older people and/or people with disabilities. Previous responsibility for managing/supervising staff and the ability to delegate are essential. You will have excellent written and oral communication, organisational and prioritisation skills, as well as leadership, decision making, strategic planning and service development skills. You will also be able to manage change and budgets. You must have experience of assessment, review and care planning and experience of working with carers and families. You will be able to work out-with normal working hours when required and have the ability to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timescale. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council
