Graduate Building Standards Surveyor (Fixed Term)

The Proposed City Development Plan has been submitted to the Scottish Government and major infrastructure and regeneration initiatives such as City Deal are underway.
The Building Standards and Public Safety service receives over 3000 building warrant applications each year with the value of work in the region of £1BN in each of the last two. It plays a major role in the Licensing and safety at major concerts & events, Safety at Sports Grounds Licensing for stadia within the city as well for liquor/premises licensing. It also deals with major and minor public safety issues arising from dangerous and defective buildings. You will contribute to ensuring that core elements are delivered.
As a member of a team you will prepare basic reports, research and give professional advice to colleagues, customers and clients as well as be proactive in delivering performance targets for national Performance Frameworks. You will be guided in more complex matters
