Job Description

This post is for 14.25 hours per week (term-time) at Braehead Primary School, Dumbarton. The work pattern is Monday to Thursday 3.00pm-6.00pm, Friday 3.00pm-5.15pm.

The postholder will be responsible for the day to day operation of facilities Management Services within the establishment. They will require to undertake a combination of duties with a flexible day to day variable need, this will include, staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties and porterage, food handling and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.

The postholder will require to adhere to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislations would be an advantage as would previous experience in this line of work. The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

This is a part time post and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.


The new PVG scheme replaces enhanced disclosures when undertaking work with Children or Vulnerable Adults. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
