Support Officer – Macer/Messenger/Porter/ Receptionist required.

This post is ideally suited to an individual who is keen to gain experience in all aspects of Court work. You should be customer focused, prepared to work as a member of a team and eager to develop and acquire new skills.

Duties will include attending on Court of Session and High Court Judges. You may be required to attend the High Court circuit courts, e.g. Aberdeen, Livingston, Dundee, etc. Collecting and delivery of mail both internal and external, light portering duties, paper keeping (filing, retrieving, searching for documents etc), preparing outgoing mail, operating franking machine, photocopying. In all of these duties training will be provided where appropriate. You will be required to demonstrate a willingness to undertake a broad range of duties and to accept a degree of flexibility in their work allocation.

This position is based at Parliament House in Edinburgh.
No academic qualifications are required.
