Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday (07.45 -16.00) and Friday (07.45 - 12.45)

Responsible for assisting the area delivery of the Parks, Streets & Open Spaces function and related operations, ensuring the development and delivery of sustainable service provision at local Area/Ward level.

Working in all weather conditions, responsible for leading a team and undertaking work in public parks, playing fields, landscaped areas, streets, car parks and similar open spaces.

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.



Requirements

You must have a SVQ 1 or 2 or equivalent in Amenity Horticulture or relevant subject and Arboriculture qualifications CS30 and CS31 or be working towards these. 



Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting the Area Coordinator in all aspects of planning and executing arboriculture work and the use of suitable equipment and materials to carry out all aspects of tree surgery.



The Individual

You must have moderate experience of team management in Parks, Streets and Open Spaces or other relevant field and a working knowledge of plant and equipment and current best practice in parks and street cleaning operations or a similar environment.
