Salary: £29509 - £33250 per annum (£16.17-£18.22 per hour)
Temporary full time vacancy until 31 March 2019

Job Details

To work as an effective member of the Active Schools & Community Recreation team to:

Develop a sustainable programme of school sport competition in both the primary & secondary school sectors.

Develop a strategic approach to ensure that wider sport & activity programmes are equally accessible to key target groups including, but not limited to, people with a disability, people from areas of multiple deprivation and looked after and accommodated children.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to degree level or have significant experience in project development and/or sport & physical activity, ideally in an education or local authority environment.

Must be able to clearly demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the aims and objectives of Active Schools and have a clear understanding of the key contributors to inequalities.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
