You have knowledge and experience of children and young people and are interested in pursuing a career working in an educational environment. You have a mature approach to emotionally demanding work, can use your own initiative, lead activities and have the ability to respect confidentiality.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity using the School's Pupil Equity Funding for you to lead small groups and observe and record their progress during play activities. These activities will typically take place out with the standard classroom and supervision of the class teacher. The post requires you to work every morning at Fyvie School.
You will assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising the standards of pupil attainment with the small groups you will lead. You will provide general support in relation to their care needs, health and wellbeing and safety; to ensure a secure and safe environment.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
The interviews are expected to be held on 06/10/2017.
This post is fixed term for a period not exceeding 06/07/2018.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
