Volunteer Engagement Assistant
9 month fixed-term contract, full-time (maternity cover)

What the job involves
Volunteer engagement is our exciting new approach to volunteer management. Join our team and, working in partnership with others across the charity, you will help enable our current and new volunteers to engage at a level that is right for them, deliver great customer service and apply best practice for volunteer support and management to help us achieve our ambitious strategy.
Working in a dynamic, fast moving and fun environment, no two days will be the same. You could be talking to volunteers about their experience, arranging travel for Advisory Group meetings or providing administrative support to the team. You will be managing volunteer communications both internally and through our Social Media channels. You will actively contribute to achieving the charity's strategy and business plan, placing men at the heart of what we do.
What we want from you
You will be customer-focussed, collaborative and flexible in your working style. You will be a confident user of database, web and digital applications, and you will also be an outstanding communicator in person, and in written communications.
You will be a multi-tasker who can effectively prioritise and is comfortable managing a busy and varied workload. You may also have experience of working with volunteers and knowledge of Investor in Volunteers accreditation. You will have great interpersonal and communication skills and be able to engage and develop good working relationships both internally and externally at all levels.
