Business Development Manager (Construction Projects/ Utilities) Kilmarnock, South Glasgow, East Kilbride, Hamilton GBP30,000 to GBP40,000 on the basic + bonuses + Company car + further negotiable package. The company are one of the UK's fastest growing installation providers for the UK. They are as a result now looking for driven, ambitious sales persons to help them secure new contracts and drive the company forwards. A Business Development Managers position is available for candidates with a background in selling construction products to end users, installers, architects, specifiers, re-sellers or contractors. The Business Development Manager must have a proven track record in sales, specifically new business generation. A candidate with established contacts in the construction industry will be highly beneficial and therefore encouraged to apply. Within the role the Business Development Manager will assist the company in acquiring new clients and selling additional services to existing ones. It will really suit an ambitious candidate that enjoys generating new business. The candidate will spend 60% of their time on the road and 40% in the office. They will be responsible for managing their own diary and report directly into the Director. The role will suit a Business Development Manager that wants to win new business and be paid well for doing so! The Business Development Managers Role: * A business development position with a strong emphasis on new business generation. * Selling in the main to end users within the construction industry (e.g. House builders). * Both telesales and field sales. * The successful candidate needs to be able to commute to the office at least twice a week.The Business Development Manager: * Will have a background in selling ANY construction products to end users, installers, architects, specifiers, re-sellers or contractors. * Will have a proven track record in both new business generation and relationship building account management. * Contacts in the construction industry will be highly beneficial (e.g. house builders). * Knowledge of Utilities would be beneficial (gas, electric or water).* Full Driving licence. * Good basic and generous bonus available for the right candidate.
