Children's Resources Manager At the Scottish Bible Society we believe the Bible changes lives across all ages and generations. With that in mind a new and exciting role is being created within our Department of National Ministries to develop Bible based resources for children, families and individuals that can be used by all generations together. We are seeking to recruit an innovative thinker with a creative mindset, who is passionate about the Bible, children, families and community. You may have a background in education, youth work or community outreach. You will have excellent writing skills and a keen eye for visual design. It would be advantageous to have an understanding of digital media and experience of training others in Bible engagement techniques. You may have a background in church or charity work or currently be employed within a non- church context. This is a full-time position based in Edinburgh but some travel may be required across Scotland. It will involve working closely in a team environment and forming partnerships with key stakeholders, churches and likeminded organisations. Although this position is Scottish focused, the Scottish Bible Society is a charity with a global reach, that helps people in over 200 countries and territories to receive Bibles in a language they understand and a format they can use. We are involved in transformative projects that include teaching people how to read using the Bible, contributing to education programmes for children and much more! This is an office based role at our head office in Edinburgh (near Haymarket train station). Salary depending on experience. Faith requirement - this role requires an active Christian faith and an understanding of the different Christian communities in Scotland. Closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 20 September 2017. Interviews will take place week commencing 25 September 2017.
