An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop a child-centred approach to Early Level in our Primary 1 setting.  The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering the curriculum through play-based experiences.  As a valued member of the team you will be responsible for joint planning with teaching staff to ensure coverage and rigour through pedagogically based play.  Experience of working in a team, delivering high quality learning experiences for all learners and a sound knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence at early level is essential.

Within our caring community, Gilmerton Primary School aims to promote a love of learning that will evolve and continue for life.  The school mission statement ‘Learning for Life' embodies this aim.  Our school values encourage us to be respectful, resilient and responsible.    The school has 440 children organised into seventeen classes and has a 60:50 nursery.  The school is led by a leadership team of a Head Teacher, 2 Depute Head Teachers, a Principal Teacher and a Business Manager.
