Role Profile



To provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Community Care Team & Team Manager


Corporate Responsibilities

  • To undertake individual role in line with the Council's business objectives and in compliance with the Council's corporate policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by Management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.

Role Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Administrative support to Team Manager
  • Cash handling and banking duties in relation to imprests and receipt of income
  • Operation of computer equipment - word processing, PowerPoint, database and spreadsheet function to produce quality correspondence
  • Provision of high quality customer focussed reception and telephone service
  • Updating Absence Management Records
  • Organising/updating/input/retrieval of information from I.T. and manual based systems
  • Preparation and processing statistical information as required by management
  • Monitor workload allocation within the team.
  • Arrange, attend and minute complex casework/business meetings as necessary and transcribe minutes within appropriate timescales.   This may involve travelling .
  • Processing service user and business information in line with HSCP Information Management policies and procedures.
  • General Clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, mail processing, faxing, etc.
  • Comply with confidentiality, I.T and data protection guidelines.







    Education and Qualifications

    • SVQ Level 2 Administration or equivalent
    • National 5s minimum C pass in English, Maths and Office Administration or equivalent.
    • SVQ Level 3 Administration or equivalent.

    • Taking minutes of complex meetings and transcribing within a set timescale.
    • Recent experience of working in a busy office environment.
    • Experience in producing high quality documentation.
    • Working knowledge of AWI and ASP processes.
    • Working knowledge of financial processes.

  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
