Assistant Janitor under the direction of the Line Manger / Facilities Co-ordinator, Team Leader - may supervise and allocate work, monitor standards and complete all required paperwork.

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.


Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.


You will need to work as part of a team to deliver a multi-functional service to Education Establishments working your contracted hours at various times during the core of working day between 7am and 8pm.

Undertaking duties related to the operation of cleaning procedures, maintaining the security of the premises, buildings and surrounding grounds as well as providing a School Crossing Service to schools and associated Education Establishments. Responding to emergency call-outs in accordance with established procedures.
