We are recruiting School Crossing Patrollers

Do you want to become a central part of our local community in a term time job offering a fantastic work life balance? North Lanarkshire Council are recruiting Mobile School Crossing Patrollers to cover vacancies in our local communities.

In this job you will play a vital role in your community ensuring the safety of pedestrians, in particular children, when crossing the road. A protective uniform and full training will be provided to ensure that you know what this key role is about.

You must have excellent road sense and good communication skills. You will be polite, friendly, punctual, self motivated/reliable and able to work on your own initiative.

You will not have a fixed location and will be asked to travel throughout the area. Therefore you must have the ability to travel independently to deliver this vital service. We will try, as much as possible, to keep you local to your home.

The ability to work in all weather conditions is essential.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post.

Post 1:  8.75 hrs (including 20 minutes each day for the uplift and deposit of equipment.)
Dundyvan Road / St Mary's PS Coatbridge.
Monday to Friday 8.15am - 9.05am & 2.50pm - 3.25pm

Post 2: 8.75 hrs (including 20 minutes each day for the uplift and deposit of equipment.)
Balmalloch Road / Corrie Road, Kilsyth.
Monday to Friday 8.15am - 9.05am & 2.50pm - 3.25pm

Post 3: 8.75 hrs (including 20 minutes each day for the uplift and deposit of equipment.)
Airdrie Road / Townhead Roundabout, Kilsyth.
Monday to Friday 8.15am - 9.05am & 2.50pm - 3.25pm

Post 4: 8.75 hrs (including 20 minutes each day for the uplift and deposit of equipment)
New Stevenston Cross, New Stevenston.
Monday to Friday 8.15am - 9.05am & 2.50pm - 3.25pm
