Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust currently applies a living wage supplement to all employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. The value of the living wage supplement is subject to regular review by the Council and the Trust, is non-contractual and can be changed at any time.
You will have a relevant catering qualification, knowledge and experience of menu planning and experience of catering in a commercial setting. You will have an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate, practical knowledge and experience of Cooksafe Regulations are desirable.
You will be required to work across all Falkirk Council Care Home and this will include weekends.
This post is available in care homes which specialises in providing care to frail older people, people with dementia and people with a functional mental illness.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, suppliers and contractors and record outcomes.
You will be required to work to deadlines, work unsupervised using initiative and also as part of a team.
You will work on an as and when required basis.
If you are the successful candidate for this post, you will be working with children and/or vulnerable adults and therefore you must have PVG membership.
