Job Introduction
We are looking for Researcher who will work as part of a highly driven production team in developing and producing content for the flagship current affairs programme, E??rpa.

Role Responsibility
  • To demonstrate awareness of the audience.
  • To ensure that BBC output reflects the diverse nature of our audiences.
  • Evaluate research in terms of programme aims and intentions and present findings either verbally or in writing to the Producer.
  • Work as part of a strong and effective team. Demonstrate judgement on appropriate referral of issues to more experienced members of the production team.
  • Assist in filming and post-production of material as required.
  • Help deliver to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest editorial standards.

The Ideal Candidate
  • The Key requirements are a passion for current affairs programmes, fluency in spoken and written Gaelic.
  • Knowledge and interest of current affairs, including in a Scottish and in a European context.
  • Knowledge of output and trends across all media platforms including social media.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to assess complex information to provide accurate and engaging summaries of research.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the audience.
