Head of Asset Management. Location: Scotland. Salary: GBP60k - GBP80k (dependent on experience) + bonus + car + benefits!

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking an experienced and professional Head of Asset Management to join, develop, implement and deliver a strategy for the growth of the Asset team. The successful candidate will hold a senior role in the organisation, and will be an experienced asset management professional with a demonstrable track record in a similar role within the renewable energy sector.

Key responsibilities:

Team Management:
• Motivate and lead Asset Management Team
• Line management of existing Asset Management Team staff and new recruits
• Set KPIs for Asset Management Team and report performance against these to Managing Director
• Hold weekly team meetings to discuss workloads and delegate any key tasks
• Be available to the Senior Asset Manager for troubleshooting on projects, where required
• Responsibility for recruitment and the ongoing training/development and performance reviews of existing staff in conjunction with the HR manager; and
• Responsibility for Asset Management Team cash flow and P&L accounts and reporting results to the company Managing Director

Systems and Procedures:
• Review existing Asset Management Team procedures to highlight areas for improvement and amend accordingly
• Work with the Senior Asset Manager to ensure that the quality of work submitted to clients is always high, and taking ultimate responsibility for this
• Ensure all Locogen procedures are HSE-compliant and, where relevant, adhere to the Wind Turbine Safety Rules and other technology-specific guidance; and
• Take responsibility for the continued improvement of systems and procedures to promote efficiency

Strategy/Service Development:
• Review existing Asset Management Strategy with Directors
• Select target areas for service growth in all sectors and build an Action Plan for the delivery of this growth, including recruitment of additional staff where necessary. Take ownership of this Action Plan and responsibility for managing its delivery
• Build a network of high quality sub-contractors to give Locogen a national coverage
• Highlight resource short falls and develop a recruitment programme as appropriate; and
• Highlight opportunities for international development of the team, working with Locogen France's Managing Director and other international colleagues

Business Development/Sales:
• Lead on asset management sales, working closely with Business Development Director
• Pro-actively seek new sales opportunities
• Secure orders for asset management contracts from a range of clients across different technologies
• Build strategic partnerships with key sector organisations, including lenders, developers, investors and turbine manufacturers
• Sales calls/visits with a range of clients
• Looking at innovative ways to generate increased revenue from existing projects; and
• Closely working with the Project Management and Consenting Teams to ensure cross-selling opportunities are realised, with Locogen retained on projects from cradle to grave

Marketing:
• Work with the Marketing Manager to keep website and social media content relevant to the expanding service area
• Manage and review copy for printed marketing material, where required
• Highlight opportunities for speaking at key sector events and work with the Marketing Manager to secure these opportunities, and then present at events; and
• Prepare case study material as required to demonstrate project track record

Essential Requirements:
• At least 8 years' experience in the renewable energy sector
• At least 5 years' experience in asset management
• At least 2 years' experience in a managerial position
• Academic qualifications in a relevant degree to a 2:1 standard or higher
• A proven track record of being a team player
• A desire to work in a challenging, fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Experience in strategy development and delivery
• Line management experience
• Demonstrable successful experience in sales/business development
• A creative mind with an ability to drive improvements in service delivery
• Time management skills and the ability to prioritise
• An existing network of contacts within the sector
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure; and
• Full driving license (valid for UK)

Desirable but not essential:
• Qualified Operational Controller under WTSR
• Masters level qualification in a relevant discipline; and
• Additional professional accreditations
