Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
They are currently looking to recruit for Engineering Apprentices based at the Motherwell site. You'll be learning all aspects of the work of either a Mechanical, Electrical or Welder Engineer. Observe, learn and understand a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction and supervision of skilled technical staff. Maintain good housekeeping within the stores/ workshop/ container areas and across all site. Ensure all plant equipment is kept in good condition, inspected and stored correctly.
Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
- Standard Grades English and Maths
- Willing to work towards a national recognised Electrical Engineering qualification on a day release basis
Specific Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Technical aptitude
- Good practical ability and manual dexterity
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with tasks without supervision
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
