Head of Facilities Management and Support

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: £44,800 - £61,850 per annum

(Pay Award Pending 1st October 2017)


The successful candidate will provide top level leadership and strategic management to the Facilities Directorate in order to deliver efficient and effective FM services that provide a safe and comfortable living and working environment.

As a member of the Executive Management Team you will participate in the delivery of the Erskine Strategy through the creation and execution of the Estates Strategy and provide advice to the Board of Trustees, CEO and Directors / Heads of Department on all aspects of FM

You will be the lead for all hard and soft FM matters relating to the provision of planned preventative maintenance and emergency response, as well as project co-ordination, management of Capital Projects, insurance cover and external contracts for FM Services and grounds maintenance including the Personnel Recovery Centre contract.  You will also be responsible for the management of the cottages and for Erskine’s compliance with Health and Safety legislation and Fire Safety across the Erskine Estate.

The post-holder will ensure there is comprehensive delivery of high quality hotel services including housekeeping, laundry, catering and transport/ portering within the main Erskine Home and other sites.  You will ensure that all services are delivered efficiently and meet all relevant legislation.

The post-holder will be qualified to degree level or time served apprenticeship in building services, engineering or construction and hold a health and safety qualification. You will have operated as a manager or managed a contractor in a multi-site organisation and be a member of BIFM or equivalent.  A clean driving licence is essential.
