Quarriers is one of Scotland's leading social care charities. We provide much-needed care and support for thousands of vulnerable children, young people, adults and families to reach their true potential.
Quarriers supports thousands of people across more than 100 services throughout Scotland and England. Our work promotes a just and accepting society, where everyone is included. We support children and families facing challenging circumstances and help to transform lives for people affected by epilepsy. We support young people to unlock their potential. We give adults with disabilities more opportunities, and importantly, a voice.
Quarriers has been transforming lives for over 140 years and this is just the beginning.
This project provides short breaks to children with disabilities in a modern purpose built centre situated in Quarriers Village approximately 2 miles from Bridge of Weir. The aim of the service is to provide regular, planned and enjoyable short breaks to children and young people aged from 5 - 18 years, who have a learning disability. This gives their parents/carers opportunities for a break from the pressures of caring and to spend time focusing on other members of the family or parts of their lives. It gives the young people who come to the unit a safe, homely environment where they can meet other young people and take part in social and everyday activities as well as receive high quality care.
