Working Pattern: 13.5 hpw core hours Mon to Fri between 9am and 5pm; 4.5 hpw evening or weekends

Post 1: Levenmouth - 18 hours per week

Post 2: Glenrothes - 18 hours per week

Post 3: Dunfermline - 18 hours per week

The post holder will have operational management responsibility for Community Use of a School building outwith the school day.  He/she will assist the Community Use Manager to plan and deliver leisure, recreational and learning programmes which meet identified needs in the local community.

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.


Minimum qualifications are a degree or diploma in an appropriate discipline e.g. Community Education, Leisure & Recreation, Sports Management or a related field.

This post is subject to a disclosure check which will be undertaken by Disclosure Scotland.

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland.

There is an expectation that you will regularly work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends, in order to cover establishment opening hours (9 hpw).


You will be responsible for a designated Community Use facility and for associated staff, budget and programmes.  Key priorities will include developing programmes based on market research, customer engagement and customer care, partnership working and health & safety.
