Assistant HR Business Partner
You will be primarily responsible for the following:
Interpret, apply and giving the best advice to managers and individual staff members on the Human Resource policies of the Council, local and national conditions of service and employment legislation ensuring good practice within Services, promoting fairness, equality and consistency across the Council and it's workforce.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policy and practice
Support and advise managers and staff on matters relating to occupational health and well-being at work. Ensure the co-ordination of the referral system.
Give advice on disciplinary, grievance and capability issues up to and including matters of misconduct.
Assist services with structural reviews.
Assist in HR service based projects as delegated by the Senior HR Business Partner
Represent HR Services on recruitment panels and assessment centres where appropriate.
To carry out research and information gathering for the development, implementation and review of strategic and policy issues.
To manage service based HR projects as delegated by the Senior HR Business Partner
To assist HR colleagues in the delivery of strategy and policy led training to support HR policies
To keep accurate records and produce management information as required.
Assist with con-ordination and continued promotion of Healthy Working Lives
To ensure that the Senior HR Business Partner is kept fully advised of HR issues that arise.
Provide appropriate cover for colleagues in periods of absence
Other HR associated tasks or duties as directed.
