Social Care Worker

18 hours per week, including evenings and weekends

£22,611 - £24,500 / £25,199 - £27,619 pro rata (Including Shift Allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)

Aurrida House provides a wide range of high quality support services for children with additional support needs and their families. This includes part week residential support for school placement, residential and day respite, short breaks, a home based support service, and an emergency provision.

Aurrida House is seeking a caring, diligent person to join our committed team. You will provide social and personal care on a shift rota basis to children and young people with additional support needs. You must be able to evidence a commitment to the care of children and have preferably, experience in the field of additional support needs. We are looking for someone who holds a strong sense of professionalism and who is familiar with the standards of care required by the Care Commission.

Applicants will possess an HNC / SVQ3 combined award in Health and Social Care (Children & Young People) or other relevant qualification(s) to enable registration with SSSC or achieve relevant qualification(s) within 3 years of appointment. You must also register with the SSSC within 6 months of appointment.

This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and adults.
