We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated and well organized individuals to join our waste management services team as a Collector Sorter. You must be physically fit and not troubled by means of odorous and/or noxious materials/smells.
Your responsibilities will include:
• The safe operation of equipment fitted to vehicles.
• Assisting the driver in safe manoeuvring of the vehicle on the route.
• Removal of household, industrial and commercial waste from various locations involving all types of containers including wheeled bins, food cadies, plastic sacks and recycling containers.
It is essential that you can work in all weather conditions; use basic tools e.g. brush and shovel, undertake written and verbal instructions, work unsupervised at times and be helpful, courteous and respectful to both customers and colleagues the job may also involve snow clearing. Experience of working in an environment that demands a high degree of health & safety awareness is essential. On the job training will be provided to ensure that the Jobholder becomes fully competent in the role.
The successful applicant will be contracted to work over designated weekends/days during Christmas and New Year typically on collections ensuring service continuity to our customers.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £18,202.47 per annum.
