Customer Service Specialist

As a Barclays Customer Service Specialist within Premier and Wealth, you will deliver expert service to clients, using multi-channel communications, including telephone, email, letter, fax and internet messaging, while adhering to policy and client due diligence regulations.

You will join us in providing a "World Class" client experience, as the initial point of contact for global clients in a multi-channel and multi-currency environment. Our team is responsible for providing specialist support and expert service to the UK, Ireland and Wealth International client base.As a Customer Service Specialist, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Receiving and being responsible for multi-channel, multi-currency requests and showing pro-activity in achieving set personal and departmental goals
• Paying attention to the needs of our customers, managing your time effectively to ensure the maximum amount of time is spent having quality conversations and supporting customer needs
• Taking ownership for personalising every customer interaction by showing empathy and applying the appropriate judgment to deliver the right outcome for customers every time
• Passionately applying our customer standards to deliver a five star service
• Committing to your own role development, by continuously developing your knowledge, skills and competence

As a Customer Service Specialist, your skills and qualifications will include:
• Flexibility in your approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and help out with others when required
• Pro-activity in identifying additional ad-hoc tasks and projects
• A good understanding of international client propositions
• A comprehensive knowledge of internal/external legislation, including data protection, anti-money laundering, complaint handling and client due diligence
