Field Sales Executive/ Business Development Manager
Job Title: Field Sales Executive - Leading Edge Digital Marketing
Location: Home-based covering Edinburgh and surrounding areas
Salary: Basic Package (dependent on experience) up to £28000 including £3K car allowance, with 1st year OTE of up to £35000
Start Date: Immediate
This is an exciting opportunity for energetic, hungry sales people to join an innovative digital marketing company as part of its direct sales team for Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. As part of the company's direct sales force you will be working with the newest digital marketing initiatives within the on-trade and hospitality marketplace and will be seen as the major Wi-Fi solutions provider to the independent hospitality sector.
- Within the specific vertical market, understand addressable market size and potential, identify potential customers and use information to generate leads
- Face-to-face cold-calling to arrange meetings with business owners/decision makers to prospect for new business (including daytime as well as some evening visits)
- Negotiate the terms of an agreement including price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers, and close sales
- Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations
- Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Track all sales activity on a clearly defined management system
- The ideal candidate requires a 'hunter' and 'negotiator' approach to sales with the ability to win and close opportunities within a short timescale.
- Proven experience in B2B direct sales
- Background knowledge in on-trade, restaurant and venue sales would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of social media
- Experience of working within a structured and disciplined sales environment (cold lead generated)
- Commercially aware and numerate
- Confident negotiation skills, excellent powers of persuasion and presentation skills
- Drive, motivation and enthusiasm
- Highly resilient with a demonstrable strong work ethic
- Ability to manage priorities and time effectively
- Must have own car
