Indicatively, the post holder is responsible for front line supervision of 30 - 50 Waste Collection outdoor-working employees and the daily operation of associated fleet vehicles, plant and premises / facilities.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.
Must have recent experience of managing and supervising staff and hold a CMI SCQF Level 6 Award in First Line Management or equivalent. A current valid driving licence is required for this post.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that employees discharge their duties in accordance with Council and Service policies and procedures.
You will be a Team worker and motivator with excellent communication skills and possess a ‘can-do' approach to help resolve problems. A knowledge of risk assessment is essential. You should be able to provide regular and effective service.
