Our client is a leading independent media company with a strong and growing track record of successfully launching a range of well researched attractive and highly respected media platforms across published and online media.
They provide customers from SMEs to PLCs with innovative print and web based advertising solutions that increase their client's sales, providing marketing and information through a powerful media based solution. Due to growth, they currently require an Advertising Sales Executive based in their Glasgow office.
You will be responsible for selling a range of advertising and media opportunities to business customers throughout the UK. Products include magazine advertising, online media, content, promotions, sponsorship, eshots and advertorials. You will be responsible for dealing with a mix of new and existing customers. You will be working on an existing database, self-sourcing new customers, generating new business from an existing customer base. This is a structured sale where you will contact key decision makers over the phone. You will identify the customer needs and business needs then create, design and present innovative online and print media solutions tailored to the client to ensure results. Once on board you will be the main point of contact for the client developing the relationship, establishing their on-going needs and providing solutions. You will work closely with editorial staff on features. You will maintain an understanding of their market and competitor media. The role will involve attending industry exhibitions, working to revenue targets and deadlines.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Manage the sales process from beginning to close, converting enquiries into sales using our customer base and approaching new clients
- Generating sales enquiries from new and existing customers, proactively generating new sales leads
- Meeting sales goals, targets and deadlines
To be considered for the role you will have a strong track record and experience of selling advertising solutions from any sector (i.e. outdoor, online, radio, newspaper, magazine, directories, digital etc.).
You will require the drive, determination and a proactive tenacious attitude to continue this leading organisations impressive success. You will have a high attention to detail with the ability to achieve results.
In return you will be given the opportunity to work for an expanding publisher in a friendly team environment on a quality media portfolio. You will be given initial training and on-going coaching and development.
Basic salary to £21K + uncapped bonus (OTE £33K) + other benefits
Hours of work
Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm
Friday 9am - 3pm
