The Marketing and Student Recruitment Officer will be based at SRUC’s Oatridge Campus. The Marketing and Student Recruitment team manages all activity relating to the promotion of SRUC education provision, recruitment and retention of students, market research, and widening participation.
Marketing and Student Recruitment Officers, in addition to promoting the full range of SRUC’s Education Division’s provision, are central to building up effective communication and relationships with a number of feeder institutions (i.e. schools, colleges), employers and other client groups within their nominal geographical area (such as regional widening participation groups and careers advisors). Additionally, members of the recruitment team participate in commercial, regional and national projects such as work-based learning, FE/HE progression, CPD provision and flexible learning initiatives. The post-holder is both a linchpin for activity at the local campus, building synergies between and coordinating the activities of a wide range of academic and support staff, as well as part of a Marketing and Student Recruitment team who work nationally and collaboratively to cover all areas of the remit of the whole team.
The post involves some working outwith normal College hours, and travel with some overnight stays to facilitate participation in recruitment conventions, will feature. The purpose of the post is to contribute to the meeting of student number targets through the effective promotion and representation of SRUC’s education portfolio.
