HO0144 - Traditional Home Help
Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust currently applies a living wage supplement to all employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. The value of the living wage supplement is subject to regular review by the Council and the Trust, is non-contractual and can be changed at any time.
An opportunity has arisen within our service for Traditional Home Help posts in the Grangemouth area.
Working as a member of the Home Care team you will provide support and personal care on a 'one-to-one' basis with people who have a wide range of caring needs in their own homes.
Experience of working in a care setting is not essential for this position of a Traditional Home Help. Instead we are looking for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, a caring personality and someone who is reliable and can be relied upon to support the service user in their home. We are looking for someone that will always work in the best interests of the service user.
Hours for this role are 24.57 per week on a 7 over 14 working pattern, involving working every second weekend with an availability of 7am-6pm.
All posts involve lone working.
We require you to be mobile across the Falkirk Council area and you will spend time walking between service users' homes.
Whilst there are no essential qualifications required for this post, you must be willing to be educated within the Council's timescale to SCQF level 5 which includes SVQ level 2, in order to register with the Scottish Social Services Council.
For an informal discussion please contact Christine Regan on (01324) 506400.
Successful applicants for posts working with children or vulnerable adults will be subject to disclosure checks or the new PVG scheme.
