The Glasgow gaelic School are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Child Development Officer to join our team in a full time, term time capacity. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of our nursery school team.  Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence are required to enable successful working with their colleagues.   This post is open to all current CDO's with at least 12 months service within Glasgow City Council Education Services Nurseries subject to suitable references.  The successful candidate must possess HNC Early Years Education (96 SQF credit points of which 48 points must be at Level 7) or Childcare or SVQ Level 3 Early Years Care and Education (or equivalent) and be eligible for SSSC membership and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme. 

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with SSSC Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

Successful candidate would be a Fluent Gaelic Speaker

This post is 40 weeks and salary will be pro rata.
