Dundee and Angus College is a regional FE College spread over 3 main campuses as well as a number of smaller outreach centres throughout the Dundee and Angus region. With a staff population of around 1,000 and a student population in excess of 20,000, the College is a large and dynamic community that has an outstanding record of achievement within the FE sector.

Responsible for the provision of all IT, AV and Communications infrastructure and services within the College, ICT Services has a team of Technicians who provide first and second line support to the College. Technical assistance and support is managed through the ICT Helpdesk and is facilitated through a combination of email, telephone and/or direct face-to-face contact.

We are currently recruiting an ICT Technician to join the ICT Services Team. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and good understanding of desktop and server operating systems including Microsoft (Windows 7, 10, 2012 Server and/or 2012R2 Server), Apple OS X and/or Linux. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving and prior experience of identifying and solving IT related issues is desirable. Experience maintaining ICT equipment and an awareness of health and safety issues is essential.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high commitment to a customer focused service as well as having a flexible and multi-skilled approach. Teamwork is a key attribute of this post as well as the ability to use initiative and being able to prioritise and organise work effectively.
