ROLE DEFINITION

Assist in the provision of services within the context of relevant legislation.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Responsibilities

  • To undertake individual role in line with the Council's Strategic Priorities and in compliance with the Council's corporate policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by Management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.

 Role Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provide support and advice to service users.
  • Advocate on behalf of service users and other agencies.
  • Maintain records in accordance with procedures and Care First.
  • Provide reports as required.
  • Contribute fully at team meetings in accordance with good team working and service development.
  • Maximise service users income and benefits.
  • Carry out initial assessments with close support and supervision.
  • Undertake training as required.
  • Escort service users to resources as directed.

  • HNC Social Care OR SVQ Level 3 Social Care or equivalent
