Job Description
An opportunity has arisen to work as a Network Management Officer within the Traffic and Network Management section of our Roads & Land Service. The successful applicant will assist in the delivery of the Council's Network Management functions through the co-ordination, control and monitoring of all roads & street works carried out on local roads within the Stirling Council area. You will provide technical advice on aspects of NRSWA Legislation and Codes of Practice ensuring all works are carried out efficiently and safely. Together with the Network Co-ordinator, you will liaise with The Office of the Scottish Road Works Commissioner and other local authorities to ensure consistency of standards. A number of large scale infrastructure projects are planned in the Stirling Council area and there will be opportunities to lead on planning & coordination of these and deputise for the Network co-ordinator as required. You will additionally act as lead officer in the management and co-ordination of all Timber Transport activities that require access to local public roads.
