Employment & Reward Support Assistant (Positive Destination)
A “positive destination” opportunity has arisen for a self motivated and positive candidate with a customer service focus to participate in the development of a modern Employment and Reward Service within Human Resources. You should not currently be in employment and just have finished or be due to finish your education or a relevant training course. You will support the provision of an operational and advisory Reward & Employment Service. Training and development will be provided to enable you to deliver an enquiry service, on the application of a range of Employment and Reward procedures in order to deliver a flexible service and respond to employees, managers and prospective employees.
This role would suit ambitious outgoing individuals who would be interested in a career in Human Resources and are looking for an entry level post to gain experience. You must hold a minimum of three Standard Grades or National 5 qualifications, the equivalent of level C passes or above in Mathematics and English or equivalent (SVQ level 2 or equivalent is an acceptable alternative) with some practical experience or demonstration of competency in the use of word processing, standard PC software packages (an SVQ2 or equivalent is an acceptable alternative)
You should also be able to demonstrate confident interpersonal skills. Please note candidates invited for interview will be required to complete a pre- interview literacy and numeracy test. There may be the opportunity to achieve a Modern Apprenticeship qualification should the successful candidate meet the criteria.

Based on you working 30 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £15,168.72 per annum.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a basic/standard/enhanced disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check is £25 and the successful candidate will be required to re-pay to the Council the fee through payroll deduction.
