Job Summary:

The Account Executive, under the supervision of the Senior Consultant, is to assist in managing, administering and growing a portfolio of accounts. Ensuring an excellent level of customer service, and that all team targets are met.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

* To renew a portfolio of Company Paid group schemes in line with procedures and check accuracy of accounts provided by insurer.

* To own and/or assist in the management of group risk renewals and requesting terms and claims details from the insurer, requesting competitor quotations as required and prepare renewal proposals.

* To prepare and issue Market Reports and summaries for submission to the client.

* To deal with and action incoming telephone queries and correspondence relating to the specific portfolio of accounts. Ensuring all follow up actions are monitored appropriately and expectations of all parties are managed accordingly.

* To carry out face to face visits with clients as and when required.

* Manage own workload to ensure Service Level Agreements, company standards and policies and procedures are met, in accordance within JLT's Visions and Values (Creating Client Value, Innovation, Bringing out the Best in People, Confidence and Pride, Delivering Great Results and One EB).

* Competent use of company workflow, time recording and income reporting systems.

* Build relationships with clients, insurers and internal staff to ensure good customer service and retention of clients.

* To assist in developing and increasing the portfolio of accounts by identifying cross selling opportunities.

* Assist with the collation and production of Management Information and statistics on request.

* To report, record and manage any customers identified as 'At Risk' and work with the Team Leader to resolve any complaints or issues with service. To operate in a Treating Customers Fairly manner at all times, highlighting any issues or conflicts.

* Maintain a good standard of product and technical knowledge and awareness of Insurer developments and terms and conditions.

* To carry out any ad-hoc tasks relating to the job as and when required.

Experience, Capabilities & Education Requirements


* Group risk product specific and market knowledge (Group Life, Group Income Protection, Group Critical Illness)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including telephone skills
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Able to work within a team and make a positive contribution
* Ability to work under own initiative, take responsibility for own work and follow through to completion.
* Problem solving and decision making
* Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook


* Presentation skills
* Recognised Industry qualification or working towards/partial completion
* Ability to work under pressure
* Good Compliance awareness including Treating Customers Fairly
* Use of SharePoint
* Use of online Flex/Employee Benefits systems
