The post holder is required to assist the Procurement and Commissioning Manager to ensure that high quality services/works and supplies and best value are delivered to the Council by ensuring that all agreed plans are implemented efficiently and effectively.
In particular to be responsible for drafting, negotiating, monitoring and reviewing complex contracts between the Council and its provider partners; support the setting of contractual standards, tendering for services, developing and maintaining the Council's contract register and other contract related tasks and to carry out specific project work on the effectiveness of in-house and external service provision to inform commissioning decisions.
The successful candidate may be based in Helensburgh, Oban, Dunoon or Lochgilphead.
