Community Use Schools offer a range of classes, activities and facilities outside normal schools hours. There are a number of Community Use Schools throughout Fife for groups, families, adults and children to access a wide range of excellent programs offering recreation and education in an informal, friendly atmosphere, all based within local communities.
Duties include setting up indoor/outdoor sports areas and dismantling equipment.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.
You must have good organisational skills, knowledge and understanding or health and safety and risk assessment issues, and be able to carry out manual handling tasks.
To undertake duties relating to the security and smooth operation of buildings and surrounding grounds of Community Use Schools. The range of duties undertaken is likely to include: securely opening and closing the buildings and grounds at prescribed times, operating alarm systems, setting up and dismantling sports equipment, moving, storing and setting up desks/tables/chairs, liaising with Community Use staff and users to ensure appropriate facilities and service is provided, all in accordance with Health and Safety and Manual Handling procedures.
The individual should have a good level of education, awareness of security issues, experience of working with the public, good levels of customer care, ability to work alone and as part of a team, have good timekeeping, a good level of communication skills and be good at problem solving.
