Relief Social Care Worker
Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£10.75/£11.97 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate
Aurrida House provides a wide range of high quality support services for children with additional support needs and their families. This includes part week residential support for school placement, residential and day respite, short breaks, a home based support service, and an emergency provision.
We are seeking a caring, diligent person to join our committed team. You will provide social and personal care, on a shift rota basis, to children and young people with additional support needs. You must be able to evidence a commitment to the care of children and, preferably, have experience in the field of additional support needs. We are looking for someone who holds a strong sense of professionalism and who is familiar with the standards of care required by the Care Commission.
Applicants should hold an SVQ3 Social Services (Children and Young People), at SCQF Level 7, plus an HNC in Social Care, or other relevant qualification(s) to enable registration with the SSSC, or be prepared to achieve the qualification(s) within 3 years of appointment. Registration with SSSC must take place within 6 months of appointment. You will be provided with regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your existing skills.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and adults.
