Learning & Development Manager - Behavioural

Basic salary around GBP40k-GBP48k depending on knowledge skills & experience, plus competitive benefits and a great working environment

In this role you'll work closely with the Head of Development & Resourcing and senior leaders across the Bank to shape and embed our Learning & Development strategy to help the Bank progress its exciting journey.

You'll:

shape the Learning & Development strategy for behavioural, leadership, and talent solutions across the Bank
identify the behavioural, leadership and talent needs of the Bank through effective stakeholder engagement, research and leading the Bank's annual capability needs analysis exercise
drive the on-going development of a blended development curriculum for colleagues, including online learning solutions
design and deliver a blended development curriculum for line managers and leaders which is aligned to the Bank's leadership model of potential
provide 121 coaching to leaders identified as having the potential to move to broader or more senior roles
deliver projects to enable the delivery of our People Strategies and in line with agreed objectives
make sure that all colleagues understand the overall offering, what's available and how to access it
produce MI relating to Learning & Development activity driving meaningful conversations with key stakeholders
monitor and track all external spend relating to Learning & Development
design and deliver a framework of education and development for colleagues in the Senior Managers Regime and Individual Accountability Regime, supporting their competence and personal development
provide strong and effective management of your team to help deliver a positive, open culture where colleagues can be the best they can be
develop meaningful and effective relationships with the Bank's HR Business Partners and key stakeholders across the broader Sainsbury's L&D community
lead the development of key relationships with professional bodies and institutes

You'll bring:

in depth Learning & Development experience focussing on behavioural and leadership skills
experience of partnering, influencing and challenging senior leaders, in support of building the behavioural and leadership capability of their teams
experience and knowledge of psychometrics and management/leadership models
sound technical and professional knowledge of the training landscape in Financial Services
good business and commercial awareness
professional qualification in HR or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
ability to build strong working relationships and influence at all levels
experience of successfully managing and developing a team
exceptional communication skills
ability to manage own work load, prioritise, multi task and work effectively under pressure
enthusiasm for generating new ideas/opportunities to help make improvements
great attention to detail
