Training Officer / Internal Volunteering Staff Trainer / Service Ambassador that has excellent people management and organisational skills with experience designing and delivering training programmes is required by a leading Charity based in Edinburgh, Scotland,

 

SALARY: 26,530 - £28,100 per annum

DOGS: Due to the nature of the organisation there are frequently dogs on site. Therefore you must be comfortable with dogs in the workplace.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates will have previous experience designing and delivering training programmes to an accreditation level. You should also have experience working within the children and / or vulnerable adults sector with ideally volunteer management experience.

 

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Training Officer / Internal Volunteering Staff Trainer / Service Ambassador that has excellent people management and organisational skills with experience designing and delivering training programmes to an accreditation level.

Working as the Training Officer / Internal Volunteering Staff Trainer / Service Ambassador you will join a team that provides trained volunteers to help people with sight loss to work towards the mobility goals they want to achieve.

As the Training Officer / Internal Volunteering Staff Trainer / Service Ambassador you will act as a champion and technical expert for these valuable services within the team. You will also be accountable for the delivery of all elements of the service working in partnership with internal volunteering staff, external partner organisations and other members of the Edinburgh Team.

As an ideal applicant you will have proven experience of designing and delivering training to an accreditation level as well as recent and relevant experience of working within the children and/or vulnerable adults sector, and volunteer management experience.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Training Officer / Internal Volunteering Staff Trainer / Service Ambassador:

  • Act as a champion and technical expert for the services offered within the team
  • Design and deliver training to an accreditation level
  • Work closely with volunteering, engagement, and mobility colleagues to deliver all aspects of the service
  • Identify service users, recruit and train volunteers
  • Liaise with third party referral organisations to promote the Charity’s services

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience designing and delivering training programmes to an accreditation level
  • Experience working within the children and / or vulnerable adults sector with ideally volunteer management experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Frequent travel may be required to external partner organisations and other site locations
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
