Vacancies have arisen for catering assistants within St Peter the Apostle High School and St Stephen's Primary. The postholder will require to assist in the day to day operational requirements of the catering service within the school.
15 hours per week (term-time), St Peter the Apostle High School, temporary maternity leave cover until 29th June 2017. Work pattern: Monday to Friday 10.00am-1.00pm.

10 hours per week (term-time) (permanent), St Stephen's Primary School. Work pattern: Monday to Friday 11.30am-1.30pm.
Duties will include assisting in basic food preparation and service of all foods in compliance with the Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drinks in schools (Scotland) regulations 2008, compliance with all the relevant legislation as required. Setting up and cleaning away equipment for food service. The postholder's duties will include general cleaning to a high standard of crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, also kitchen and dining room areas, staff rest room and toilets.
The postholder will require to adhere to Food Safety System, Safe Systems of work and Health and Safety Legislation. A knowledge of such legislation would be and advantage as would previous experience in this type of work.
The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
This is a part-time post and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.
The new PVG scheme replaces enhanced disclosures when undertaking work with Children or Vulnerable Adults. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
