Counter Fraud Officer
Stirling Council is looking to appoint a highly-motivated individual to support the delivery and further development of Council-wide counter-fraud arrangements. You will be able to: - identify fraud-related risks and weaknesses in existing processes and procedures, and make recommendations for improvement - investigate and report on allegations of fraud, irregularity or misconduct, reaching properly considered, evidence-based conclusions - provide guidance and support on counter-fraud practice, arrangements and activity to managers and other officers - successfully present findings, which can include potentially sensitive issues - organise and prioritise a workload with competing demands and within deadlines, maintaining a strong customer orientation A good understanding of investigative practice and reporting is required, as are effective interpersonal and communication skills, and strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
