Arts Education Officer (Youth Music Initiative)
It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale.
Salary: £29180 - £32921 per annum pro rata (£15.99-£18.04 per hour)
Temporary part time position until July 2017
14 hours per week

The successful candidate will co-ordinate the Youth Music Initiative, delivering a full programme of music and singing activities for children and young people.
To implement and develop a range of music initiatives and training programmes to offer learning opportunities through the arts in formal education via the externally funded Youth Music Initiative.

Jobholders must be educated to Degree level in music and hold a teaching qualification and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
