Salary: £33907 - £38232 per annum (£18.58-£20.95 per hour)
Permanent full time position
35 hours per week
Mon-Fri

Job Details

To provide an advanced level of practice that ensures appropriate services are provided to meet client needs within the department’s statutory obligations and departmental policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Essential: Degree in Social Work (or other recognised Social Work Qualification, ie. CQSW, Dip SW, CCETSW).
Relevant post qualifying award and/or significant relevant knowledge/skills/ competencies to undertake the duties of the post.

Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential requirements of this post.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.

Please note: PVG member’s records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises.
