Youth Outreach Worker
This is a part time post and the salary will be pro rata to the number of hours worked.
As part of the Youth Learning team, you will be responsible for the day to day operational delivery of the Council’s frontline Youth services across West Dunbartonshire. Furthermore, you will assist in the
delivery of services which support and contribute to the implementation of the CLD Strategic Guidance
You will take a lead role, within a designated area of responsibility, in developing partnerships with youth agencies to ensure effective delivery of services for young people in line with the CLD Strategic Guidance. Also you will contribute to the Youth Learning Team in delivering high quality provision to young people to enhance their personal, social and educational skills, allowing them to live their life to the full potential.
The successful post holder will also be expected to self evaluate their work and feedback to stakeholders in a variety of ways.
The new PVG scheme replaces enhanced disclosures when undertaking work with Children or Vulnerable Adults. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
