The school management team currently consists of the head teacher, a depute head teacher and 1 principal teacher. The school shares a business support manager with the other schools in the West Calder High School cluster.
There are 20 members of teaching staff, including the nursery teacher and the support for learning teacher. This also includes a number of part-time staff. There are specialists in PE and Art, a brass and woodwind instructor, 3 full-time nursery nurses, and a team of 6 pupil support workers.
The school works very effectively with the other schools in the cluster. The parent council works in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are well-developed and mutually successful and supportive partnerships with the local community, in a wide variety of contexts.
Our priorities for session 2016 – 17 are:
Raise attainment in Numeracy through Growth Mind-set approaches
Develop a whole school culture which promote the well-being of all
We are looking to recruit an additional Principal Teacher to be part of our team and move the school forward.
